Gena Gendusa LaSalle is a horse girl, an avid reader, keeper of many animals, and an aspiring green-thumbed gardener. She's a native to South Louisiana where she works alongside her brother and sister at their family-owned insurance agency. She loves spending as much of her spare time with her husband and daughter on their small homestead. 

If she's not reading a book, she's working on writing one. Gena has previously published a short children's Christmas book and is currently working on books two and three of the Black Horse series.

Gena's love for books dates back to reading Junie B. Jones in elementary school and spending way too much money at the book fair. The idea of writing her own book for other's to read came much later in life after coming up with the idea on a road trip.
