Mostly, I am a coffee enthusiast (better known as an addict), reader of many books, keeper of many animals, and an aspiring, green-thumbed gardener. I am from South Louisiana where I work at my family-owned insurance agency and live on a small homestead in the country with my husband and daughter.
If I'm not reading a book, I am most likely working on writing one. At the end of 2024 I published a children's Christmas book – The Christmas Pickle – and I am currently working on the rest of the Black Horse series.
My love for books goes back to reading Junie B. Jones in elementary school and spending way too much piggy-bank money at my school's book fair. The idea of writing my own book came much later in life but I couldn't be happier to have made the decision to put pen to paper.

Of course the answer is because I love books! It's that simple. I love reading and getting lost in a story created by someone who at one point or another, was like me.
The idea of Black Horse came to me during a long road trip from Louisiana to Oklahoma a few years ago, and it blossomed from there. I kept thinking about things like, 'What if there was a book about this' and 'A character like that would be really cool'! Then I thought, maybe I could just write a story about this and that... and I did!
I didn't even know I was capable of writing a book, much less getting it published until I did a little research on self-publishing. Everything on Google made it seem so easy that I got to work on putting those ideas I'd had on paper. Thus The Christmas Pickle and Black Horse were born... and I'm nowhere near done yet.
